Lush deep house pads hum alongside activist Angela Davis’s spoken word on AD, PAS is a riotous 808 jam with atomic air raid siren thrown in for good measure.

Second EP from our boys FYI Chris on West Friends. FYI Chris urge you to ‘listen to [Angela’s] wisdom as you play this in your front room at 7am to people who suddenly can’t quite look at their hands properly’.

The West Friends label was started by Chris Coupe and Chris Watson (collectively FYI Chris) and Tom Unlikely shortly after founding Rye Wax. Tom explains the idea behind the name: “...basically we had a lot of friends that were west and we wanted to put out their music and give them somewhere to hang out where they wouldn't scare anyone. Most of this has happened! The general aesthetic is weird but warm with occasional forays into cold and unsettling. It has nothing to do with boujee coffee spot West at Levels, the west country or the west as a global power structure - unless you want it to, we're not here to tell you what to think mate just get on with it and don't jog the decks alright?”

12" vinyl. Released August 7, 2018
