Leaning more towards the poetic than the prosaic, a series of thoughtful musings on the topic of the present day.
"When One Off began, the idea was to capture the present in some way. The madness and banality of our time and the chance encounters, unpredictable events and general societal weather in-between. I knew it would be impossible to capture everything about our present in one 96-page publication, but I thought "where are we now?" could be a provoking question to throw at people in this brief. My thinking was that if this quite open question was given to enough different kinds of contributors - artists, journalists, academics, photographers - then we'd get an interesting mix of response."
