About the event
Odd Rocket are a jazz-influenced fusion band based in South London, playing moody and atmospheric groove music. Often in odd time signatures, our songs are spacey and atmospheric with repetitive harmony and improvised solos. We are delighted to be headlining at Rye Wax on the 12th December featuring Sylvan Biscoe on sax, Jack Lecomber on bass, Aaron Carpenter on drums and Tara Cunningham on guitar. It would be great to see some familiar faces so come down.
Dark, Jazzy vocals and melodies, Plumm's sound is gritty and evocative. With her newly released EP entitled ‘The Shed’, Plumm’s influences of the strong, female jazz greats of the past are reflected through the the sound of the music and the message behind it. This is married with a theme of eclecticism in production and musical styles to create a fresh and unique sound. Live, Plumm is joined by Marysia Osuchowska on harp, George Melton on guitar and Lluis Plana on flute who bring a whole new beautiful and ethereal dimension.
Best known for his auxillerating live performances and for leading the charge in London’s underground circuit, Mark Cables is one of the industries best connected and a 1/4” jack of all trades.
